We were very excited and we want to thank the Ford Historic Estates for inviting the Henry Ford Heritage Association for a special tour at Fair Lane for our Spring Trip to help us celebrate Fair Lanes 100th Birthday.
We also want to thank Vice President for Historic Resources of the Historic Ford Estates, Mark Heppner, for giving us a private tour and presentation to learn, first-hand, the restoration plans for this iconic American estate. We found out what has been accomplished to date and the next steps in this comprehensive project. We also learn what research and physical analysis has revealed so far and how a team of conservators, researchers and preservation experts have been brought together to assist in the “re-imagination” of Fair Lane.
This was one of our largest HFHA tour we have ever had with over 120 members attending.
