We trace the steps of legendary auto pioneer Henry Ford throughout Detroit and Dearborn. We visited the sites where he served his apprenticeship, made his first car, and the factory that put the world on wheels. Several other key Detroit sites were featured on the tour. After lunch, we visited Detroit’s Ford Piquette Avenue Plant – birthplace of the Model T and the only example of an early Detroit auto factory that is open to the public. In the afternoon we drove through Dearborn to visit several key sites and will end up at the Ford family cemetery where we will pay our respects to America’s tinkerer turned titan and the woman he called his “believer”. We would like to thank Steve Stanford and Bianco Tours for organizing this tour.
